Climate Change Theater Action Amherst

Common Share Food Co-op is proud to bring the international Climate Change Theater Action project to the Amherst community to raise funds for our Co-op and participate in a global movement for climate justice!

We will be hosting a staged reading of 5-minute plays focusing on food justice and community resilience under the theme, “Lighting the Way;” celebrating the unsung warriors who are “lighting the way” to more sustainable futures. Join us afterwards for a discussion on the connections between climate change and food security and to learn more about the Co-op’s mission to build a community third space dedicated to food justice, economic inclusivity, and arts and culture.

All plays will be performed by local actors and residents on Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 6:30 PM at the Bangs Community Center in Amherst, MA.

A suggested donation of $5-15 will help the Co-op meet its fundraising goals to build a cooperative grocery store and community space offering local foods and events for the greater Amherst area. Delicious treats donated by Co-op member-owners will be for sale before and after the event.
